Panthers jump for joy after the quarterfinal victory.

The Panthers are advancing to the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) semifinals after securing a 1-0 win over Nova Southeastern this past Monday.

Florida Tech got on the board early, with a goal from Marem Ndiongue in the 10th minute of the game.Mayara Queiroz Reis and Mariana Mazzoccaprovided the assist for Ndiongue’s point. Queiroz Reis led the Panthers in shots with six. 

Senior goalie Maria Sanchez Recuero posted seven saves, as the Panther squad collected their tenth shutout of the season. 

Florida Tech reels in their first SSC tournament victory since 2017, where they took down Tampa University in the SSC Championship. 

The Panthers travel to West Palm Beach Thursday to face #2 seed Palm Beach Atlantic in the SSC semifinals. Kickoff is at 4:30 p.m.
